WEST MIDLANDS ARCHERY SOCIETY

OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008

Regrettably Redditch Company of Archers has found it necessary to cancel their open York/Hereford tournament planned for July 13th.   This event was to have incorporated the WMAS Outdoor Championships.   Fortunately, Wyre Forest Company of Archers have agreed to include the Championships with the Worcestershire County Championships York/Hereford to be held at their ground at Arley on Sunday, 3rd August 2008.

It is hoped that WMAS archers will support this event and compete for the WMAS Trophies. An entry form and details of the WFCA  event can be found on their website www.wfca.org.ukk or by telephone from the Organiser:

All archers affiliated to WMAS are eligible for consideration for inclusion in teams to represent England. The English Archery Federation is a body established to coordinate the five English Regions of GNAS for the purpose of selecting and financing archery teams to represent England. These take part against teams from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in the various Home International matches held as part of the National Indoor and Outdoor Championships, both Senior and Junior, as well as the Euronations Cup matches, which also include teams from the Republic of Ireland. The annual Euronations Cup matches, Senior and Junior are hosted by each of the competing countries in rotation.

For more information about the criteria required for consideration for selection to represent England can be found on the EAF website at www.englisharcheryfederation.org
